Visiting this diner is like a step back in time. From the gaudy colours of the booth seats and walls, Elvis records displayed on the walls, the US numberplates, little jukeboxes on the tables, pictures of the who's who of Hollywood in the '50s, you really could believe you'd stepped back in time.

Sitting to order, I was AMAZED at the size of the menu. More options than you could poke a stick at. I think I could eat every week for a year and STILL not get through the whole menu.

Misty and the waitresses were incredibly friendly and helpful, their service was great. The guy at the counter who took my order was a little curt, but it was a busy night and there was a group in the back with screaming children, so he may have just been having a bad night. I work in fast food, so i know how it feels.

The food was FANTASTIC! I loved every mouthful of it. Chilli fries and Misty's American style burger...wow. The burger is a bit messy, so grab some extra napkins before you begin, because you'll need 'em! Fries are to die for...and come in a wide range of hotness...for those who are adventurous and those who are not alike.

Being able to grab some drinks and 'candy' to take home is a plus as well.

My only gripe would be the menu is a little on the pricy side. Around the $15 mark just for a burger on it's own just makes it a bit steep for regular visits. The food is definetely worth the price, but it's just hard to justify paying that much for a meal all the time.

Will be heading back to Misty's Diner soon, for sure.

It is like taking a step back into the 1950's, you walk in and see the good old fashioned booths with their own individual jukeboxes. The walls are covered in 1950's memorabilia and a whole wall devoted to USA number plates... The food in itself was wonderful after you spend 10 - 15 minutes deciding what you want...Might I suggest the Chill Cheesy Fries... The front fridge has a wide variety of american sodas and for those who like the standard good old coke they have that too...overall this is one place worth driving to Prahran for...Oh and dont forget on the way out to stock up on the Dr Pepper...

Fantastical - An amazing over-the-top American experience. We were served by Misty herself. An amazingly friendly host and a chili expert, Misty talked us through her range of "death sauces". A must try.

We feel like we are in ' Happy Days' whenever we go to Misty's Diner....we keep waiting for 'the fonz' to come out and go "Heyyyy"!!

We love the decor, the food...( best naked dogs ever) and we keep getting brain freeze from the 'to die for' icecream soda's!!

It is a great way to relax and catch up with friends on a Sunday night.

Misty's has a fun, relaxed and charming atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food is to die for!!! I ordered the Big Breakfast and a Brownie thickshake and they were amazing!! Along with an all American menu, Misty's also has a selection of American candies and drinks that are hard to find in Australia. All in all, ten thumbs up!

The venue seemed really authentic, it was really clean, the waitresses let you read the menu BEFORE they came and served you. The food was amazing, big serves for a small amount, and it was totally American!

My first time at Misty's but I had heard it was great. I wasn't disappointed. I could hardly choose between all the choices on the menu. What we finally ordered was excellent and from what I saw the burgers look fantastic! The chilli fries are to die for and I will definitely be headed back to give the rest of the menu a try and you should too.

Misty is a fantastic host who welcomes you in and makes you feel like an old friend with whom she is sharing her latest creation. She is an excellent chef although I imagine she prefers to think of herself as just a good cook serving up good old fashioned American cooking. She is truly passionate about her food and her customer's satisfaction. This alone is more than enough to recommend that you give her a visit.

The atmosphere was as close to a 50's US diner as you will find anywhere minus the drive up and waitresses on roller-skates. You can however drive in and have your car washed as you enjoy Misty's yummy creations. If you have an urge for some good American style cooking, save yourself the trip and head to Misty's Diner. You won't find a better American restaurant within 10,000 miles.
