Who would have known that back in 1991 when an italian family bought a small pizza shop in Lower Plenty that it would grow to become a fast paced and fresh new pizza innovation by 2003! Run predominantly by family members in the beginning, in 2008, Margherita's now sustains over 40 employees ranging in age from their mid teens to their early 50's.
In Late 2001, it was decided Margherita's had outgrown its home and drastic renovations were underway within months.
Unveiled in April 2002, the 'new look' pizza shop was the beginning for an exciting new era both for Margherita's and for all the staff fortunate to be part of the company. The modern new design was an open plan layout allowing the customer to view all their food being prepared and freshly cooked in front of them.
